Kraftmaid cabinets — New York, NY

Ready-to-assemble (RTA) cabinets can be a more budget-friendly option for updating your kitchen in an NYC apartment. The main consideration is the assembly process itself, which requires time and tools. For a polished look and proper function in a smaller space, professional installation is highly recommended.

For a modern NYC kitchen, white units offer a clean, spacious feel. Consider sleek, handle-less cabinet doors or minimalist hardware for a contemporary look. Quartz countertops in a white or light grey hue can complement the cabinets beautifully, creating a bright and airy atmosphere.

IKEA cabinets are a popular choice for many New York residents due to their affordability and modern designs. They offer a modular system that can be adapted to various kitchen layouts.

Butcher block countertops bring a warm, natural aesthetic to kitchens, and they can be a great choice for some NYC homes. They are relatively affordable and can be repaired by sanding and refinishing. However, they require more diligent sealing and maintenance to prevent stains and water damage compared to quartz.
